佛菩萨在《金光明经》说到：“所谓金光，灭除诸恶，千劫所作，极恶重罪，若能至心，一忏悔者，如是众罪，悉皆灭尽，我今已说，忏悔之法，是金光明，清净微妙，速能灭除，一切业障。”单从语言上看，能知一二，其实佛菩萨给我们的经文是深奥无边的。台长给大家用白话讲一讲，所谓金光，就是忏悔，只有在忏悔之后，身上的金光才会散发出来。如果一个人不懂得忏悔，哪来的光明？身上哪来的金光？身体只会被乌云笼罩。即便是有太阳，当它被乌云笼罩的时候，哪来的金光万丈呢？只有当我们忏悔的时候，才能去除孽障，犹如扫除乌云后重新照射四方的太阳。当人没有孽障的时候，我们灵魂显现出来的光明才是金光明。金色的光明等同于无价的法宝。我们学佛，要学金光这一无价的法宝，要学根本的东西，而不是只做表面文章。当一个人把自己的罪孽消灭之后，才能体现出你有价值的“心”即“佛心”。
台长经常给大家讲，在人间，只有一种药没有，那就是后悔药。然而学佛后懂得忏悔，就是掌握了用“后悔药”来弥补心灵的创伤。学佛就是清洗自己，修心就是把肮脏的心修得干净一点、修得善良一点。修行就是修正自己不好的行为，把自己的行为修得高尚一些。我们现在处于五浊恶世的末法时期，犹如，现在的很多医院已经不是以救人为己任了，如果没有钱交押金，病人就算要死了，医院也不会收留的。现在的人，良心也变恶了，为了达到目的，杀人、放火、陷害忠良可以不择手段。现在的人性越来越恶，所以现在这个世界叫五浊恶世。人活在这个世界上，怎样去除这些东西呢？台长告诉大家，要去除我们身上不好的东西，去除这个世界的恶业，靠的是忏悔。现在有观世音菩萨这么好的法门，帮助我们忏悔过去所造的业障，这是何等的金光明之法。佛菩萨说的，忏悔之法是金光明，清净微妙啊。当一个人有罪业的时候，有一个方法帮助他消除罪业，这是何等的微妙，同时又是何等的清净，唤起自信。
当一个人开始忏悔的时候，已经是有所开悟了，自己的心已经开始清净，并且正在发生微妙的转变。我们的本性和良心都是在无量百千万亿的佛前种了善根。释迦牟尼佛悟出一切众生皆具佛性，说的就是这个。因为具有佛性，才有福报，才能够诚心地忏悔。罪业就是靠自己有一个对比，以你的良心作为护卫，用本性判断对错，多求菩萨帮助我们消灭深重的罪业。有些罪业是与生俱来的，有些是今生做的，但一定要虔诚地忏悔。例如很多人不孝顺，要知道百事孝为先，如果做儿女的不孝顺父母，就脱离不了苦难的业海，不能登陆幸福的彼岸。最后台长希望听众朋友们能够开悟、明理，脱离自己苦难的罪孽，诚心忏悔才能够往生到达清净的境界。
