<span style="font-size: 20px;">有一位年轻的比丘，有一次当他停留在一个村庄精舍的时候，有人供养他两件袈裟。过去供养什么的都有，就像现在可以给法师供养餐饮、服饰等。有人家里正好有两件袈裟，于是就把袈裟供养给这位年轻的比丘，因为法师是可以接受袈裟供养的。那么，这个比丘就决定把其中一件袈裟供养给长老比丘。长老比丘就是庙里的长老，好比我们现在说的师父，这位长老比丘是他的舅舅。</span>

<span style="font-size: 20px;">结夏安居之后，年轻比丘就去找长老比丘，把袈裟供养给这位长老比丘。这位长老比丘说自己已经有很多袈裟，于是拒绝了。年轻比丘多次恳请，但是长老比丘坚决拒绝不要。年轻比丘非常伤心，认为舅舅不接受他的袈裟，是因为不喜欢他。就像现在社会上，你送给别人一样礼物，别人不收，你会感觉不舒服。别人诚心诚意送给你一样礼物，你收下来，其实是对别人的一种尊敬。尤其是有些人，别人送他一样东西，他先打开看一看，然后再说不要，这样让送礼物的人很丢脸。如果还没打开看，你就说：“不要了，你什么都不要送我。”那是另外一个概念。不管别人送你什么礼物，你都要满心欢喜地接受，因为这不仅是一份礼，而且是一份心，你不要，别人当然不开心。</span>

<span style="font-size: 20px;">这位小比丘就是这样的，因为长老比丘拒绝了他供养的袈裟，他心里很难受，觉得舅舅不喜欢他了。他甚至觉得，既然舅舅坚定地拒绝和他共享必需品，因为袈裟是比丘的必需品，他想自己最好还俗：“你舅舅这样，我就还俗了，我就不出家了。你不喜欢我，我跟着你干吗？还是去过我自己世俗的生活吧。”</span>

<span style="font-size: 20px;">从那个时候开始，他杂念纷飞，思绪紊乱，心里总想着还俗之后怎么办：还俗之后，我就去卖掉袈裟，买一只母羊，然后快速生育，养出很多小羊，有足够的收入，然后娶妻生子，再携带妻小（妻子和孩子）搭车回来探访舅舅，让舅舅看到我的老婆和孩子，看到我现在什么都有。他甚至想到，在路上他会告诉妻子说：“由我来照顾孩子。”但是妻子非要叫他驾车，不要管孩子的事情。但是他坚持要照顾孩子，就去抢孩子来照顾，结果孩子从车上掉了下来，被轮子碾过。他非常愤怒，拿起棍子就要打他的老婆。</span>

<span style="font-size: 20px;">其实，这些都是他的想象。当时，他正好在用扇子帮他舅舅扇凉。因为他正在想拿东西打他老婆，结果他就拿着这把扇子打了他舅舅的头。长老比丘非常有智慧，他明白这个年轻侄子的心念，就跟他讲：“你自己不能打老婆，你打我干吗？”因为长老比丘知道他在想什么。年轻比丘一听，十分惊讶，知道长老比丘很厉害，于是局促不安地想立刻离开精舍。但长老比丘却设法带他去见了佛陀。那个时候佛陀在世，他们是多么的幸运，这么小的一件事情，就能够见到佛陀，得到佛陀的指导。</span>

<span style="font-size: 20px;">佛陀知道这件事情的原委之后，很仁慈地告诉年轻比丘，人心旁骛不定，飘摇不定，杂念纷飞，就是在很遥远的东南西北，非常遥远的地方，人的心都会胡思乱想，一会儿在东面，一会儿到西面，心可以跑得很远。所以人应该努力修行使自己从贪瞋痴三毒中解脱出来。刚刚这个小比丘不就是贪心吗？所以只有把自己解脱出来，才有成佛的希望。</span>
